Fatherhood is a duo comprised of longtime friends and occasional music collaborators Michael Magnan and Physical Therapy. Although each of them has their individual music projects and DJ carreer - Michael in NYC, Daniel in Berlin - they get together occasionally and make music as Fatherhood, usually creating edits of older tracks. We stumbled upon their soundcloud a few years back via an edit they had made for 'Hide You' and we were intrigued and curious, so we asked them for some tracks as Fatherhood.

Two years later we have our very own Fatherhood EP - Child Support - where else but on our baby label, Clubwerks. The EP is made up of two originals: a wonky acid track in which Loleatta Holloway's best known spoken word moment / legendary house accapella rips through the biting grooves - Loleatta on Acid - alongside The Yes Man, which is more of an awry techno track within the context of the EP, a track that also employs a very strong vocal hook and is just as bizarre as it is fun.

The two extra tracks, the individuals ones, are there to highlight both producers' unique and bold perspectives within the context of the collabs, and also serve as a clue to their own classical preferences and digging prowess. Michael's ravey Alright Um is a take on a 2001 underexposed house record by Amtr@k Jrny, while Physical Therapy's Hospital House is the ultimate posi house track, failproof as a tool and a major highlight in any set.
We just couldn't be more happy with this music and what it represents for Clubwerks.
